Storyline

Uma verdadeira passagem para a maturidade **English** **_A passage to maturity._** This film is the adaptation of the fifth book of the Harry Potter's saga, by J.K. Rowling. What immediately jumps out of the eyes is that director's chair has a new owner. After the short passages of Cuaron and Newell, it is now David Yates who will sit and stay there until the end. Thankfully that was so, because the franchise only had to lose if each film had a director, with each one doing things his own way and without any feeling of unity in the final product. I guess that's not what the fans wanted and it's good that it was avoided. Of course, the actors continue to be almost always the same, and have done a better job than ever before. With this film, I felt something that also appears in the pages of the book: a certain maturity was reached. Like the actors and the characters, the saga was born in the end of childhood and grew, with the previous films (following the books) to be gradually more complex up to this point. In this film, one of the most complex and profound of the saga, the flower blossoms: the psychological aspects of the characters become clear and important. We are no longer just playing with wands and brooms, and the actors were perfectly capable of dealing with it. Now, its no longer so important to transfer all the aspects of the book to the screen, even though most of it is there. Its necessary to take into account that the size of Rowling's books has gradually increased, which may explain some of the omissions. Another aspect that this film valued and privileged were the visual effects, sound and CGI, as well as the reproduction of the fights and the great action moments in the book, that already was written with the mind in the cinema (we can almost say that Rowling was the scriptwriter of the franchise from these moment on). And so, the saga moves to the final films, increasingly interesting, more adult, deeper and psychologically complex. A true passage to maturity.
