The supporting cast, including McGregor and McKellen as Lumière and Cogsworth, is top-notch, and the musical numbers are as grand and spectacular as expected. While the movie retains the charm of the animated version, it also adds new elements and a darker, gothic feel to the Beast's castle. However, the CGI used to bring the Beast to life is inconsistent and at times, noticeably artificial.
